Your Pet's Rescue Story
Oreo is a special little guy with a HUGE personality. We might have rescued Oreo but he rescued us as well. My daughter was struggling tremendously emotionally after receiving heart transplant. I knew that getting a dog might help her. When I found Oreo on Pet Finder we just fell in love with his little face and big ears. Reading thru his bio it didn’t matter that he was heart worm positiv and had just had one of his back legs amputated. We knew he would fit in perfect with us. That was almost 10 years ago and he is my daughter’s best friend. If Issy is not feeling well which happens a lot with transplant patients, he sticks to her like glue. Oreo rules the house, including his 80lb rescue brother Jax. Jax was abused and had extremely high anxiety when my partner got him. Today they are best buds that are tag teaming to get as many treats as possible. Thanks to Oreo ,Jax doesn’t even care about fireworks works anymore.
I don’t think I will ever be able to put into words what this little guy has done and keeps doing for my family.
