Your Pet's Rescue Story
I will never forget the first time I saw Ginger. Earlier that day, a friend of mine asked me to accompany her to the shelter for her cat's vet appointment. I almost didn't go and changed my mind at the last minute. That day, my friend adopted another kitten. As the adoption was being finalized, a pretty, little chocolate colored dog with honey colored spots above her eyes dog kept jumping into the laps of the shelter staff, licking their faces enthusiastically. The staff protested and asked the dog to please let them work. The dog had no regard for the work needing to be done and continued to jump into unsuspecting laps and lick unsuspecting faces. I instantly fell in love with the affectionate puppy and assumed that she was already adopted. The shelter staff said that she had not been adopted and put her in my arms. I nervously filled out my application, hoping that I could prove that I would provide her a suitable home. Ginger is my first dog. I've had her for 8 months now and I can't imagine my life without her. She's affectionate, playful, curious, cuddly and friendly. She likes to lick my legs underneath the covers while we sleep. She likes people, cats, and dogs. She was voted a "people pleaser" in dog training. She loves food. She's very agile and can jump great heights. She's friends with a kitten named Jellybean. They spend most of the day playing and part of the day snuggling. Ginger has rescued me with her joyful and playful approach to life.
