Your Pet's Rescue Story
I have never had a dog before but always wanted one. My friends all had dogs and urged me to get one. A few years before I had a wonderful cat, but he became ill and passed on so I was little gun shy. Finally on Memorial Day weekend I went in to look at a dog I saw online. That dog was no longer available, but Jackson (Prince was his name then) was there. Two women were looking at his card and him through the kennel. They walked away and my friend pointed him out. I expressed that I think those ladies are getting him. The Bark Buddy said, he is still available, the women said they needed to talk it over. They took him out and we met each other. He wanted nothing to do with me, but was very friendly. I thought he was so cute and a perfect size for me. He had only been there since the day before. I decided to bite the bullet and get him. So we went home together. Jackson turned into the best dog for me. He took to his kennel right away. Was fully house trained and very friendly. It took a little time for him to get use to me and his new home, but quickly did. Here we are a year later and he cuddles with me every night, wears his Tampa Bay Buccaneers Jersey every Football Sunday ( he is named after a player on the team) and even does a few tricks. He is such a friendly dog and loves to give kisses and play. My friends all say that we are perfectly matched for each other. Deciding to get him has been the best decision I have made. My mom, who was very weary of me getting a dog, says how good he is for me. I have become that crazy dog person who post pictures everytime their dog does something cute. I am happier, lessed stressed, and anxious in my everyday life. I truly feel that Jackson rescued me more that day then I did him. My life has been so much better and happier since he came into it.
