Your Pet's Rescue Story
We were on a site visit for a student project in our property way high in the mountains in Puerto Rico, when Othello came up to us. He was about 6 months old then, but in really terrible health situation, ticks, fleas, worms, scabies, missing teeth and almost no hair. Luckily we were there in two car, he kept staying around us and we just could not leave him in the wild, heavy rain, cold no food etc. My husband got him which was really easy, he offered no resistance and took him directly to the vet. On the way there, stopped at a local food vendor bought him something to eat which he literally gulped down. He was starving, the ride from our country lot to the vet is almost 1 hour long, the dog was restless, my husband put on a radio station that plays classical music and the opera Othello came on. He, was mesmerized and the music helped calm him down, so it was obvious his name had to be Othello. Almost three months later he is doing great, the apple of our eyes and this photo which I took about three weeks ago is him in front of the door to our homes wine cellar. He is a sweetheart full of energy and has brought all at home much happiness.
