Your Pet's Rescue Story
At Pet Alliance we are always working to rescue animals in need of homes.
I have heard people say that it is the pet that rescues the human - not the other way around. I think that in the best pet/human relationships you rescue each other. I am 15 and have struggled with anxiety and depression for several years. I am sometimes shy or awkward around people. I have always loved animals. There is no reason to be awkward around them. They do not judge. They love us without conditions or expectations. Studies show that animals can reduce anxiety and tension and improve mood. Along with treatment, pets can help some people with depression feel better. Having a pet also makes you responsible for them. I fell in love with Luna the second I saw her. I was working my volunteer shift at the Pet Alliance the morning that she went up for adoption and knew that she was for me. My favorite cat breeds are Siamese and Calico and she is a mix of those two breeds! She has beautiful blue eyes that are cross-eyed which results in her looking at the world differently - as do I sometimes. She is my cat and I am responsible for her. I cannot take care of her if I do not take care of myself and it is very important to me that I take good care of her. I gave Luna a wonderful forever home filled with love and take good care of her and she makes my heart happy.
