Your Pet's Rescue Story
Oliver was picked up from the streets by Orange County Animal Services. He was so fearful they saw him as un adoptable until Paradise for Pets Rescue swooped in and saved him. I saw him on their Facebook feed and I had to meet him. Oliver is a 1-1/2 yr. old dachshund terrier mix with black and white hair. He has a super cute face with the longest body :)
Our journey began in September 2015 and it was hard at first because he was very timid and shy. He wouldn't come to me and he would hide under the bed. Eventually, he and I became friends and he is so lovable. It took my boyfriend Brian about 3 months of working with him for Oliver to trust him. But one day, Brian walked in and Oliver ran to him wagging his tail. Such a great feeling!! He is still very fearful of people but we continue to work with him everyday.
Oliver's happy place is at the dog park. Oliver LOVES other dogs and always wants to play when he is around them. The dogs make him more at ease with people too :)
He can run very fast for having such little legs and is extremely smart. I taught him to roll over and play dead!
Adopting a rescue isn't always easy but it is the most rewarding feeling in the world. Oliver has become part of the family and we are so happy to have him.
