Your Pet's Rescue Story
My pet rescued me.

Five years ago I was suffering from anxiety and depression. Not only was I going through a difficult breakup, but I was also on the verge of graduating college and felt completely useless and hopeless about what my future had in store.

I moved back in with my parents to help relieve some pressure and stress. We had a dog while I was growing up so the house felt somewhat incomplete without one. I had always been obsessed with pugs for their cute and funny faces. My parents saw the pain I was experiencing and agreed that getting a pug puppy could really turn things around.

This was absolutely the case. Having Jake has brought so much joy to my life. Whether it be from the funny way he sits or the weird snorting sounds he makes, I am constantly laughing and smiling just by looking at him.

What's more, he gets me out of the house and enjoying life. We go to dog parks, walk around lakes, even go to 'Yappy Hours'!

Jake reminds me to take life a little less seriously and just have fun.
