Your Pet's Rescue Story
I was at Pet Alliance for volunteer training when a kitten in the corner cage caught my eye. We continued to stare at each other for two hours and I knew that it was meant to be. At the end of my training I adopted her immediately. When I brought her home she did not leave my side and did not stop purring for 3 days. However, I quickly noticed that she wasn't eating and just as I was about to call a vet, I got a call from Pet Alliance. Both of Pi's other siblings similarly were not eating and they both passed away! I needed to take action quickly, so I immediately drove to clinic where she stayed for 4 days. The vet could not determine why she wasn't eating and what was wrong with her and her siblings. When Pi seemed more stable they released her and we went back home. Yet, they still did not know what was wrong and she still wasn't eating much. I was so worried because we had already formed a great bond and I did not want to lose her. Then, suddenly, she walked over to her food bowl and would not stop eating! It was a miracle. Now, 9 months later, she is almost full grown and happier than ever. She still follows me everywhere and greets me at the door every single day. I believe that I helped save her, as I acted very fast so she would not end up like her siblings. And, in many ways, she saved me. Pi has provided me with a special kind of love that can only be felt between two different species. I am so grateful and am excited for our many future years together.
Thank you for voting and saving many more pets, just like Pi.
