Your Pet's Rescue StorySeymour and Rex are both rescued sweethearts separated by nine years. Seymour is a lab/corgi mix, and she immediately took the young super hyper Jack Russle mix under her watchful paw. They play, eat, sleep, and snuggle together, and spending all that time together allows them ample opportunity to plot their next attempt at snatching food from some unsuspecting visitor. They usually coordinate a plan where one of them acts as an adorable distraction while the other one runs covert ops at approaching the desired food in hopes to catch the unsuspecting diner off guard so that they can run off and share their new spoils.
Rex was the runt of his litter, and was infested with parasites as a puppy, and during his touch and go moments with vets, Seymour acted as a loving protector. She refused to fall asleep until we was snuggled up and snoring beside her.
Now that Seymour has entered her twilight years, she has more white on her face than she used to. She can't keep up with Rex when they play in the back yard, but Rex can tell when she's getting tired, so he lets her catch him so that the game can be over and they can just lay in the sun beside each other and watch the grass slowly grow.
When Seymour has a vet visit, or a dat trip to the spa to get her hair cut, Rex waits anxiously at the window for her to return. When the car arrives and he sees his big sister bound out of the car, his tail thwaps an excited beat as he races to the door. Seymour gets so excited when she gets home and sees Rex that her tail wags so hard it wiggles her butt out from benieth her and she plops down to the ground where Rex is ready to pounce.
