Your Pet's Rescue Story
This is Cookie, formally known as Tito! Cookie is a 2 year old very handsome chihuahua who has big round eyes, these perky ears and this piglet tail that continuously wags. This little guy found himself along with another chihuahua and sometimes another dog, in a small carrier his first 2 years of life and was going to be left to live their lives confined to such a small space with barely room to move around until their owner eventually decided that he was going to dump them in the streets, when a friend brought them to A Forever Home Animal Rescue.

I met this handsome little guy at an adoption fair looking for a companion for my mom and fell in love with him. He was timid but managed to snuggle up and fell asleep in my arms. I was hooked! I still needed to make sure mom was good with this decision and fill out an application since he was going to be her companion. Got a call that the application was approved so I came back the following week and he was still the sweet, loving, snuggling love bug and I knew he was going to his new home, with ME!

I've had Cookie since June and everyone he meets falls in love with him. He has made friends with Lucy my Yorkie, and Jeter my Lab, and Bailey my cat who are also rescues. He loves to play with his new toys and enjoys his beds which he has two but also like to sleep with mommy or snuggle with his big brother Jeter. After his walk he loves to lay on the grass and bask in the Florida sun! Everyone loves him and he loves to give kisses even to his new fur-family. He is a kissing monster!

Cookie has a special spot on top of his head in the shape of a tear drop. It's "special" because it reminds me everyday of all the tears he shed being confined and abused for those 2 years of his life. I'm grateful to have the opportunity to share my life with Lucy, Jeter, Bailey and Cookie they remind me that as rough as my days can get they had them too, and we are here together to heal and be here for each other from now on.
