Oliver joined our family in October 2022 and hasn’t stopped smiling—or scheming—since. He’s basically a walking fluff-ball of joy and snacks, though we’re still debating whether belly rubs or treats rank higher on his list of priorities. Honestly, it’s a toss-up, it’s probably both. His two great loves? Swimming like he’s auditioning for the canine Olympics and turning every walk into a National Geographic expedition—on a never-ending quest to discover every squirrel, rabbit, caterpillar, bug, or suspiciously crunchy leaf in the neighborhood. He’s also a huge fan of tromping through every single leaf pile and digging so many holes in the backyard you’d think we were planting trees. Oh, and in winter? Good luck finding him when he’s laying in the snow, blending in like a furry snowman.
Oliver does have a stubborn streak, though—especially when we get ‘the side-eye’ from those big beautiful brown eyes. That’s when negotiations come to a screeching halt. His favorite spot in the house? Right in the middle of traffic, of course, so we’re guaranteed to step over him at least 100 times a day. It’s his way of reminding us he’s the center of the universe. And don’t be fooled by those adorable snoozing noises. He’ll fight sleep like a toddler if there’s even a hint that something fun might still happen.
