Little Miss Cora became apart of our family on June 14th, 2024. This sweet, sassy girl stole our hearts from the first day her daddy and I met her. We knew she would be a ball of fire and have a big personality, and boy were we right! Cora has loved to play with toys since the day she came home, except for her one puppy stuffed animal that is her snuggle buddy for night nights. She’s now learned to stick her head in her two huge buckets of toys and bring you exactly which one you asked for.. or she ignores you and bring whichever she wants! She is an independent lady after all. Not only does she love her toys, but she loves quite literally all living things. Cora absolutely adores her family, friends, strangers, kids…. Pretty much everyone! Typical Newfie! She loves all animals big and small, especially her two cousins Hazel and Gus, a Golden Retriever and a huge Bernese Mountain Dog. One thing she is still developing a love for is the water… yes, you read that correctly, the water! This Newfie has been working up the courage to become the water dog she was born to be. Her daddy being a rescue swimmer in the Navy should hopefully help her develop that love for swimming and splashing around in the water like a goofball… which is exactly what she is, a goofball! She gets nighttime zoomies, chases her tail as if it’s a squirrel she’s trying to catch, barks at her reflection thinking it’s another puppy, trips when she’s walking because her puppy paws are so big and has endless more goofy shenanigans all day long! Despite her wild, goofiness, she is extremely smart and intelligent. She graduated two puppy and basic training classes already, is about to begin her first novice class and is on her way to hopefully one day becoming a therapy dog, so she can bring and spread her happiness and joy for life to anyone who needs it. Life with this beautiful, free spirited girl is absolutely amazing… tiring, a tad stressful and chaotic at times, but nonetheless amazing.
