Chewie was my son’s favorite Newfoundland. He was born April 11, 1979 and lived 14 years. He was a kind, gentle dog who loved everyone, even the smallest pets, including cats, rabbits and guinea pigs and his fellow Newfies through the years. And even an occasional nuzzling with a horse! He loved long walks in the mountain and car rides on the passenger seat of our van. He even starred in a children’s play as Davey Crocketts “bear”. We remember him with love.
