Seamus of Curry Hill, NNR name Emerald, has grown from a rowdy velociraptor lacking impulse control into a gentle, patient, loving, easy going boy. Everywhere we go people stop us to rave about his beauty. Children adore him, and he calmly accepts their petting and adoration. He has retained his exuberance for life, as exhibited in this photo. This is a good example of his approach to life.
Seamus is an affectionate companion, and the best hiking and trail Newfoundland that I have owned. He is totally loose leash, never pulls, and with “heel” command he glues himself to my left side, ignoring all distractions. He calmly and happily meets others on our walks. Seamus is equally at home at local breweries or sitting in a pew at church, where his absence is always remarked upon. We were quite round of him when he earned his CHC title this year.
