Augustus a/k/a Auggie a/k/a Gus came to our family as a 5 month old rescue. He was undernourished inside and out. He had clearly been neglected but like a true newfoundland, he had no bitterness or anger in his heart. We've come to know him has the sweetest, silliest boy who LOVES to play with his new family. We have to leave doors open at all times because Auggie will not be left out! If a door is closed he'll push it open with his big goofy nose to make sure his peeps are ok. He has no sense of his body parts and seems to be made of rubber because he bounces off of everything, unphased. Auggie is 100% pure love and joy. You can't even look at this little boy without smiling, even when he is naughty, which is often. We're so lucky he came to our family and made our lives rich with love, laughs and slobber (can't forget the fur!!). No doubt he sounds like every other newfie out there, but he is one of a kind!!!
