Cassie was the heart of our family and our soul dog. She had the remarkable ability to sense when her humans needed her most. During our toughest moments, she would rise from her slumber and offer the best medicine anyone could ask for: a hug. Cassie was the one who rescued us. Her heart spoke louder than any bark could.

Funny enough, Cassie was mute most of her puppyhood until her human mom taught her how to bark, although it came out funky as part bark and part growl: a browl. The browl was her signature sound.

Cassie was known for her deep brown eyes and love of pizza. During the few hours she wasn’t taking a nap, she loved to swim and go for car rides to visit the countryside and cows.

Even when her autoimmune conditions tested her body, her spirit remained unbroken in her loving home. Cassie lived a full and happy life until she crossed the rainbow bridge at 11 years old. Cassie’s love shaped our lives in ways that words can’t fully capture, and she will forever hold a place in our hearts.
