Rufus was the best. But I say that about all my pups. He was 145 lbs of pure furry love. We did everything together. If it was a dog event, we were there. We spent 2 years visiting the Maine Veterans home, spreading the love. He was an awesome therapy dog! I swear he had more friends than I did. He had his canine good citizenship and the advanced CGC. He was listed as an official therapy dog with more than 200 visits to his credit. We tried everything. Draft work, water rescue. We were well known in the neighborhood with our daily walks. Kids loved him. We slowed down after our move from Maine to New York, but Rufus was always up for a good time. According to him a good time was whenever we went out the door. While the boy is gone and my landlord will not allow anymore dogs, I do keep my hand in by being recording secretary of our Newfie club and assisting when I can with rescue transport. This pup deserves to be in the calendar! Thanks!
