Dog's Bio
We adopted Sugar Bear in Jan. 2011 when she was two years old. She had been pulled from a high kill shelter in TN. She was very timid, having been to two foster homes prior to adoption, and had severe separation anxiety. Through much training, love, and patience, she has become a happy, self-confident, less anxious dog who loves to hike, play with her "little brother" Jasper, go on boat rides, get belly rubs, and put her head in our laps for affection. As with most Pyrs, she is quite the barker as she guards her "flock" from strangers!
