I chose Athena, but Athena chose my husband. We adopted Athena from the Humane Society of Huron Valley in 2016 and she’s been my husband’s sidekick ever since. She is loud and goofy, sweet and snuggly, and just the best. When we adopted a puppy mill mom from HSHV in 2020, she helped show an abused dog how to trust her people and be a dog. So now we have two loud and goofy, sweet and snuggly, and just the best dogs. Athena has brought so much joy and laughter into our lives. To know her is to love her.
