I found my Roc at Delaware Humane. The Afganistan War had just started, and Roc's daddy was called up. My husband served, so he wanted to 'rescue' Roc. Roc was in a tizzy when he came home with us, he just didn't know what was going on, so hubby sat with him and explained to him how he came to be with us. He sat and listened, and, like a child, tilted his head up, rolled his eyes, and just stared out the open door, as if saying, "But why?" He was hubby's support dog when he was terminal.
