Sam is a 9-year-old gal that we rescued from Appalachian Great Pyrenees Rescue in Virginia 8 years ago. True to breed, she sleeps all day (all the time really), guards us and our home vigilantly with a very foreboding bark, and is the most lovable animal in the world. She had double TPLO knee surgery 5 years ago; but recovered and has had a wonderful life since. Her happiest moment is hearing the leash rattle twice a day to go for a walk, which results in a little dance of hopping in a circle until we head out.
