Hi, I’m Oreo. I’m 10 pounds of love or attitude. Depends on who you are. I can explain.

About two years ago they found me and my sister wandering around outside somewhere, and brought us to the Berkeley Animal Shelter. I was very young, and I was terrified…in a cage, with all kinds of smells and noises and big barking dogs. They took good care of us, but I couldn’t even eat, I was so scared. The time I had spent fending for myself on the streets had created in me quite a fear of strangers. I growled at anyone who came near my crate, cowering in the corner as far back as I could get.

I was there about a week when these two people came in and someone (grrrr!) just handed me to them! Well, to my great surprise we bonded instantly. They took me home and now we’re best friends! Oh, Sis got adopted the same day, but we’ve lost touch. No worry, though, because I’ve gained two new brothers in my people’s grandkids. They play just like puppies!

I’m very happy now, and I love my family, but I’m still nervous around strangers. Until I get to know you, I’ll probably still grumble a bit.
So they say I’m sweet and sassy, asymmetrical (huh?), but a perfect blend of love and attitude. I’m kind of a complex brew myself…I’m sweet and malty yet a little spicy. And I’m just as good as a cold beer for chilling on the couch. I think that makes me the perfect choice to represent rescue dogs with your beer! I can just picture my unforgettable face on your beer can! Can’t you?

And if you’re thinking about making a cookie flavored beer, hey, I’m Oreo! Just sayin’.
