Tell us why your pet is the best ambassador for the North Country Animal League's Rescue Brew Beer (from your pet’s perspective)I was adopted from NCAL. I spent a couple weeks out in the wild roaming around before a nice lady was able to catch me. They took me to a kennel with other dogs where I spent my 7 days barking. Little did I know my now mom kept checking on me and wanted to get me out of there. After my time was up I went to NCAL and saw a doctor. They found out I had just had puppies but I was really sick. I was treated for multiple inflections including mastitis. After another couple weeks I was spayed and had some broken teeth fixed. When I smile I have no K9 teeth so my tongue hangs to the side.
My 2 brothers came to meet me, and we got to go home together. I was very timid, and unsure of my new dad and any men. I got over that soon when I realized I got whatever I wanted. I have my own spot on the couch, bed, car.
My new parents let me sleep in bed with them but I started having accidents in the night. They took me back to the doctor and I have stage 4 kidney disease. I think the doctor said something about me only living a couple years but it's been almost 5 years and I'm still here! I get special food, and pills everyday but I really like my brother's food better.
In the summer we get to go camping every weekend. I love swimming and in the winter mom takes me snowshoeing. Since I can't have protein I get tired fast but I don't care.
I do bark at almost everything, the world needs to know I am here living my best life!
