We rescued Osby (formerly Duke, formerly Jeff) in 2007 from the Michigan Weim Rescue (we lived in Ann Arbor, MI at the time). He was almost 2 yrs old when we brought him home and had had a rough start to his life; but Osby is amazingly sweet and has been our best friend and constant companion ever since! In 2013 Osby was diagnosed with advanced, inoperable mast cell cancer (he had 16 tumors, none of which were operable) and was given a very poor prognosis and extremely short life expectancy. But thanks to a great vet team, a lot of luck, and even more love, we are grateful to say that Osby still is here over three years after his diagnosis! Osby will need medications for managing his cancer for the rest of his life, but he is HAPPY and THRIVING, and that is what matters most!
