Maverick was homeless surviving in Visalia, Calif when rescued in Oct 2017 by NCWR . On January 25, 2018 Maverick met his foster mom, Jean and found his FOREVER mom and home in Ceres, Calif. Maverick was scared of everything, even his own shadow and not liking men. Being a pointer, he keeps an eye on his mom's parakeets Zeus and Apollo. He loves hunting for gophers in the vegetable garden. Maverick has learned to sit, lay down, shake(he's left-pawed), helps make mom's bed by putting on pillows, and is learning to cook. Maverick will be enrolled in higher education to earn service dog degree once he learns the basics. Sorry Susan but Maverick is definitely full blooded weimaraner ( not a mix) since he has trained his mom!
Maverick went from scared of everything to being calm during 4th of July fireworks.
Maverick is happy and very much loved!
