Maya was abandoned in San Jose at about 4-6 months of age, found at 2 am on a busy street, ended up at the shelter, who let SuperShiffra know, who let foster-Tami know...& the rest (as they say) is history...in fact, a WONDERFUL history.

She's about 3.5 now, in amazing shape, extraordinarily well-trained, & a registered therapy dog, who loves to give love to the homeless, thus becoming their prime source of love, affection, & acceptance. She also regularly heals cynophobia in all species, usually within minutes...most notable of which was a human psychiatrist, who, after 44 years of suffering from abject fear, was healed within an hour with Maya, & has since incorporated a dog in his practice.

Rarely 2 days go by when I don't thank Shiffra telepathically for introducing me to the last 2 non-human loves of my life.

I'm fortunate, ecstatic...& honored to be Maya's human.
