Gunner was adopted from NCWR in August 2013 at almost 8 years. Within 6 months he was certified as an Animal Assisted Therapy Dog by the San Francisco SPCA. He visited many UCSF hospitals, drug rehabs, assisted living centers and even the San Francisco Airport (SFO) bringing comfort and cheer to thousands of people. Retired in 2019 at 14, he still enjoys meeting people and living large. Gunner has achieved much, including his AKC Canine Good Citizen certification. He says everyone loves Weims, spread the good will.
