Luther was adopted about 14 years ago after NCWR had rescued him from a facility in LA which was about to put him down as he was deemed unpredictable and aggressive. Minnie was adopted about a year and a half later. She was quite a small but very friendly girl. Her tail wagged so fast we likened it to a hummingbird’s wings. She had previously been adopted by a couple in the hopes that she’d be a hunting companion. Unfortunately it turned out that Minnie was terrified of guns so her new owner called NCWR, they called me and a day later, my daughter, granddaughter, Luther and I drove to Sacramento to meet her and it was love at first sight! Luther and Minnie adored each other and they were a beloved part of our family until they died, first Luther and then Minnie in 2019.
