Minnie was the world’s best dog! She was adopted from NCWR about 12 years ago. She had first been adopted by a man who wanted a hunting companion but when it turned out that Minnie was terrified of guns he called NCWR and then they called me. I had been looking for a small female Weim to be a companion for my first rescue dog, Luther. So my daughter, granddaughter, Luther and I drove to Sacramento to meet Minnie and It was love at first sight! Luther adored her and so did we! She was small , 49 pounds , and she had a great disposition. Whereas Luther was intense and fearful, Minnie was easy going and happy. Luther’s tail never wagged (except at the dog park), Minnie’s tail went a mile a minute yet they were a great couple and life time companions. They both died in 2019.
