Your Pet's Story
We adopted Elvis from NDLB in September 2024 to be a pal for our other rescue Keba. He arrived in Washington, DC after a 7,000 mile journey from Kabul, Afghanistan in early June 2024 with 193 other dogs and 100 cats. The duo enjoy daily walks, running around the yard, deck squirrel and rabbit watch, playing tug-of-war with the orange lizard toy, and eating their chewies side-by-side in the evening. One of Elvis's favorite pastimes is watching the popcorn air popper shoot out the fluffy kernels into the bowl, always hoping some land on the floor so he can devour them.
