Your Dog's Story or Bio
I rescued Sophie from an abusive home when she was a little over a year old. She hadn't been fixed or housebroken. Upon arriving at her new home, she immediately came out of her shell and appreciated her new family and brother Jose the chihuahua. She was a noisy, stinky, food focused Bassett who was loved by everyone who met her. Early this year she started limping and we found out she had cancer in her knee. We had it amputated in hopes that it would give her some more time but the cancer took over her body and we had to say goodbye last week on July 1st, 2015. My heart hurts every day and hope that at some point I will be ready to rescue again.
