About Us

New England Basset Hound Rescue (NEBHR) was founded in 2001 by lovers of the breed who wanted to try to help the homeless, abandoned, and unwanted Basset Hounds of New England.

NEBHR, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Everyone involved with NEBHR is on a volunteer basis only and members reside throughout New England.

We receive no financial compensation for our efforts. We all have jobs outside the home, have families, and other important commitments. We do Basset rescue because we want to help save homeless hounds and place them in good homes.
