Your Dog's Story or Bio
In and out of rescue for the first 2 years of his life, Delbert had no clue how to behave like a dog. My family was his first foster home when he came into NEBHR in May of 2007. He went on to go to two or three other homes before returning to us in December 2007. Within a few days I knew I wouldn't be able to let him go again. On December 25, 2007 my parents told me he would be staying. And though the road with him has been rough, through years of pain and discomfort while he battled insecurity and ear infections caused by his past, he stole my heart with those pleading eyes and I wouldn't trade him for anything. He is my perfect dog, flaws and all.
