Your Dog's Story or Bio
In the Fall of 1998 I received a call from our Animal Control Officer in our small NH town (Hollis) - she knew we had a basset - could we take in a stray basset found roaming the town -there were no appropriate facilities to house her and it would only be "for a week or so" until her owner was found - we all know how that works! Lucy was with us until 2009 until she passed from complications from Addison's Disease - her rescue basset brother Simon joined us in 2000 and was with us until 2012 until old age took him also - they were our first rescue hounds and I think of them and miss them every day. We now share our home with two rescue bassets and a rescue basset-mix.
