Sancho "El Guapo" Martinez: A True Story

Sancho, a "Sato," from Puerto Rico, was found one night lying on the side of the road, accompanied by his friend Quixote, a Dalmatian. Spotted by the husband of the woman, who would become Sancho and Quixote's loving foster mother, he lost no time bringing Linette to the scene. But, upon their arrival, Sancho lay unresponsive...Feared dead-- Linette began to cry as she reached into her pocket to give Quixote a treat, when suddenly, Sancho's nostrils widened, his eyes opened, and he let out a howl...he was back!

Sancho and Quixote would eventually find their forever homes in families that had recently lost these breeds. Sancho came to us after losing our first Basset of 17 years and 4 months and Quixote would follow in the steps of his predecessor of 16 years!

They are living happily ever after!
