Wilbur was the first of 54 rescue dogs we have taken in here on the farm.... He never left! He was rescued from a basement in a neglected home and stole my heart. Sadly, on October 11, 2015 just shy of his 12 Th birthday, he was laid away peacefully after a short battle with heart disease home on his farm.... He was my guardian of baby goats, my Barn-Buddy and the most loyal, loving friend I could have ever asked for. Through all of the amazing rescues we took in and rehibilitated, Wilbur was just as much a part of the process as I was. I am not sure how they pick the months for the winners, but I if Wilbur can be remembered/honored in this calendar, October was the month he was born and I had to say goodbye to him in October on my 33rd birthday...
