A little about me...
We had recently lost our german shepherd of twelve years and wanted to adopt a rescue from the Las Vegas German Shepherd Rescue, but couldn’t due to my son’s age at the time (10). Gracie is a rescue from Sacramento California. She had been brought to a shelter with two older german shepherds, but was surrendered by the owner, only taking the larger dogs. A nice woman had adopted Gracie and cared for her for about six months, but due to her age and difficulty with her knees she could not be able to handle this large breed and was going to return her to the shelter. Thought of abuse from the original owner was present due to her fears but not confirmed. Luckily, the woman gave us the chance to take her, knowing she would be our one and only fur baby. My husband drove to and from Sacramento in a day to get her and ever since then she has been the most fun loving, terrorizing (jokingly) fur baby for our family.
