Pet's Story
Our lovely little girl, Chippie was adopted by us from the New Fairfield shelter in December 2009. She was originally named Chipmunk by the staff and was abandoned in September 2009 along with her Mom and two siblings Acorn and Pumpkin. She was the last kitten in the family to go and we fell in love at first sight.
She has been a gift to our family - a sweet tempered, affectionate and inquisitive friend. She loves to enjoy the outdoors on our deck and has been trained to only go as far as her leash allows! So she climbs the railing to get a better view of all the birds and critters and settles down. She never bothers them, she is just fascinated by them. She has seen deer, bunnies and even Mr. Fox who made a couple of appearances this summer.
Chippie's favorite thing to do outside is eat! Not her cat food or treats, she loves to nibble our potted flowers and pansies are her absolute favorite.
When spring rolls around and the pansies abound, she is in heaven!
