Pet's Story
Cooper was a 1 1/2 year old mixed breed rescue from down South. He is our fourth rescue in the last 26 years. We had just lost our 16 year old terrier mix and my husband was heartbroken. Not interested in getting another dog right away. However I saw Cooper's photo on a local adoption website and showed it to my husband. One look at those big brown eyes and he was smitten. We adopted Cooper back in 2014. He was very shy and wouldn't make eye contact with you. He was not comfortable around a lot of people and I don't believe he ever lived inside a house. He didn't even know how to play with toys. It took him several months to get acclimated in our home and around people. Now he is well-known all over New Milford and goes everywhere with his Dad. This happy little guy's favorite pastime is playing with his toys and chillin in the sunshine.
