Pet's Story
Please vote for our fearless, fighter, Fairfield. At a few weeks old and just over a pound, Fairfield was found on the side of a New Fairfield road near his mother who was hit and killed by a car. A kind resident and volunteer firefighter brought this spunky and confident kitten to the New Fairfield/Sherman Animal Welfare Society for help. We knew from the start that he was going to lose his eye, but Fairfield had to get bigger and stronger before our amazing network of vets could care and operate on removing his eye. Pat, a tireless and diligent NFSAW volunteer, came up with his special name. Fostering Fairfield for the past 4 months has given my family and those who know him so much love, hope, and comfort as we watch him thrive and persevere. He faces challenges with his own energetic and positive strength. Fairfield truly represents why we do what we do at NFSAW...to help defenseless and deserving animals find loving, forever homes.
