Pet's Story
Dakota did not have a story book start to his life - he lived 24x7 in a cat crate. After 6 months, his family called the shelter and surrendered him. Dakota was shown at many events and many were interested but no one followed through. His future was very uncertain. A former classmate of mine sent his picture and story. Dakota was adopted on March 5, 2016.

The first place Dakota and I went was the New Fairfield Dog Park - it was just Dakota and I. Upon entering the park, Dakota ran 3-4 laps….it was his first true time to be free - no cage, no leash, just his time to be a dog. Dakota is a regular at the park and loves all his friends and humans.

Dakota and I go everywhere together and I could not be happier - he is My Buddy, My Pal and My Friend !
