Pet's Story
We went to the New Fairfield Sherman Shelter to look at a pit bull mix who supposedly got along well with cats. (I have 5). Unfortunately she proved to be a little aggressive. The staff quickly took out this funny looking fuzz ball to "compare" cat tolerance. My husband knew it was over as soon as she trotted over and kissed me. Our little girl has had to overcome a lot. She has had some health issues and was obviously not treated well in her past life. You still can't cover her with a towel or blanket or nudge her with your foot. It breaks my heart to think that somebody might have put her in a bag or kicked her. But with patience and love she has come a long way. She quickly learned with a swipe or 2 that the cats were her new bosses. She hates to be separated from us so much we even have to take her with us into the bathroom. Lol And she always has to be touching one of us (usually Mommy) when she sleeps. She is our sweet little girl and we couldn't imagine life without her.
