Hennessy the Coonhound (2007 NFSAW alumnus)

Pet's Story
Hennessy, like his brother Charlie, is a Treeing Walker Coonhound from Tennessee. Unlike his brother Charlie though, Hennessy is 112 lbs (GIANT coonhound!) and appreciates the finer things in life -- sleeping in on a Sunday (sometimes until 11:00 am!) Boat Rides, and almost NO hunting EVER!!!! -- it's a rule of his! (while Charlie on the one hand goes after the big game who dare enter his yard -- raccoons, opossums, woodchucks, and an occasional coyote; Hennessy's speed is more along the lines of the Box Turtle -- and yes, he did actually once take one down in a very Exciting Chase!!!). Henny is our big mush, who would rather cuddle on the couch than go outside. And yes, like most typical hound dogs are, he is VERY vocal! I never appreciated Elvis' lyrics (.."you ain't nothing but a hound dog, CRYING all the time...") as much as I did after we adopted the BIG guy!!....
