My dog is the coolest because...
Maxx found us when he and his soon-to-be new mom were both making presentations for their respective non-profits (guess who held the attention of the audience the best). Both Maxx and mom were drawn to each other and the whole family fell in love when we all went to visit him shortly after submitting an adoption application.

Maxx was coming into a family of 3 girls who desperately missed their other dog who had passed away from old age a few months prior. Mom and dad were not looking for another dog quite yet as we were in the midst of moving into a fixer upper. But after meeting Maxx, plans changed.

This picture is from his first day at home and I'm pretty sure that is a smile. I wish I could share the video when he realized he had a whole backyard to run in and call his own.
