My dog is the coolest because...
Archie is a human trapped in a dogs body, his uniqueness is how he came to live with me. Archie brings me the remote to watch his TV shows, he needs to be busy so he goes to work every day I work. Archie will chase any ball of light or his shadow one minute, and assist at the grooming shop by helping anxious dogs feel comforted. To say hes versatile to situations is an under statement. He acts out dog agility as he watches the dogs on TV. He watches the grandbaby and alerts us to any upset kids. Sometimes he needs to steel an empty box to feel like a rebel. It's Archie's world and I'm living in it!
I started out as Archie's groomer, he came in every 2 weeks. His previous mama was Celeste Hathaway, by far one of the most beautiful people I've ever met. I always knew he was special, not your typical westy. He's quite the comedian.
Celest was diagnosed with a fast moving lung cancer, I found out first that something was wrong from Archie, he came in with someone else and ran at me pawing at me all upset. The time he was with me that day he couldn't be fully groomed as he was trying hard to tell me the whole time. ... something is wrong. I went over to his house that day so he could show me. He met me at the door and pulled me to follow him to his mom. Celest explained she was starting hospice, and asked if I would beable to care for Archie the way he needed. I said I will absolutely wait on king Archie for the rest of his life. We giggled through our tears. And so began my visiting daily. Through the hospice processes Celest was moved to a facility and then home again, Archie visited daily and near the end he stayed with her and her children 24/7. When Celest passed Archie was by her side, he came up on her chest and rubbed her face, gave a kiss and left the room. A heartfelt goodbye that rippled through the hearts of everyone who hears the story. He loved her so dearly. Celeste was a magnificent woman very charity involved, and Archie is a reflection of the pazazz she had for life. I'm entering Archie in her honor. He wouldn't be the dog he is without her giving him all she did.
