My dog is the coolest because...
Robert (aka Bob, and or Bobby, and or Bubba and or Eugene) is the coolest dog. This handsome boy is loved by all who meet him because of his sweetness, old-man demeanor, and his luxurious Eugene Levy-esque eyebrows. Besides his stuffed toys, his favorite thing in the whole wide world is being showered with love by his people. Robert's life, however, wasn't always filled with endless cuddling and snacks. Robert was a shelter dog.

He arrived at the Oshkosh Area Humane Society in late August of 2020 and came from unknown circumstances. Immediately Robert was a favorite of both volunteers and employees at OAHS. He was affectionately named Robert Irwin and was known for his cleanliness, sniffy walks, and love for snacks. Everyone at OAHS rejoiced when he was adopted out from the shelter, however his new home was not meant to be. Robert waited once more for his forever home, and being an 8 year old dog with a heart condition, the odds were not in his favor. No one at OAHS wanted to give up on such a sweet boy, including one of his current owners. As soon as Robert was made available again, the Gullickson family sprung into action and filled out an application.

We knew Robert was a sweet, smart and respectful dog, but we had no idea just how much he would change our lives. There is no doubt that Robert is the center of our universe, and he enjoys every minute of it. Our phones are filled with his pictures, our beds with his hair, and our living room with his toys. In a time of stress and uncertainty, Robert is our steadiness, our joy. This old, wonderful dog who had a past filled with struggles is the coolest dog because he's everything a dog should be; smart, sweet, cuddly, and endlessly full of love.
