Rookie is the coolest dog because he somehow manages to be both our full-time security system and our full-time cuddle expert. If someone so much as thinks about walking past the house, Rookie knows—and he makes sure we know too. But once the “all clear” is given, he immediately switches gears and goes right back to what he does best: cuddling. He’s always ready to snuggle up and be close, and no one in the house does it better than Rookie.

He’s also the undisputed king of toys in our home. Whether it’s a tug toy, squeaker, or something he’s claimed as his own, Rookie rules the toy pile with confidence. He loves playing with his pitty mix sister and his lab mix brother, turning ordinary moments into nonstop fun.
