This entry is in honor of Holley. 🐾

Holley came to us 13 years ago as a rescue from Tennessee. Her entire litter, and their mama, were brought north to Wisconsin for a second chance. She was placed in our arms, and from that moment on, she became our heart.

She wasn’t just our dog. She was our steady place. Our comfort. Our joy.

She chased frisbees like it was her calling. She swam in the lake at our family cabin as if she owned the shoreline. She walked through Fireman’s Park with quiet confidence and a tail that never stopped wagging. But what made Holley extraordinary wasn’t what she did, it was how deeply she loved.

During the hardest season of our lives, building our dream home when everything felt stacked against us, she carried us. I truly believe she stayed to see us through it. Holley passed peacefully in our new home, just days before we were set to fully move in, with us and her vet by her side. The candle flickered out and the music stopped the moment her soul left this earth. It felt as though her purpose here was complete, and she showed us that.

Holley gave us 13 years of loyalty, strength, and unconditional love. Though she is no longer physically with us, her spirit lives on in every sunset, every quiet walk, and every piece of the home she helped us reach.
