Pet's Story
I adopted Baxter in March of 2021. My family had a dog for all my childhood and into my early 20s. His name was George, and what a character he was. So, it was a dog I was initially looking to take in. I did have a cat once when I was about 30, but she ran away from me, as sometimes they can do. Dogs were always the type of companion I preferred. But in researching for one, I also began to think that maybe a cat would be nice, too. I kept going back and forth to the NFSW website seeking a new pal. After a couple of months, BOOM, that face popped up. He is a joy and the best pet I've ever had (sorry, George.) I've grown so fond of Baxter. I consider him more than a pet. He's family. I'm glad we found each other. He has a great life here in the parish house, and everybody loves him. Baxter is a blessing.
