Mochi

Pet's Story
When we met Mochi, she was 1.5 years old and was the rescue’s longest-term foster. She had been rescued as a young pregnant kitty, and she had a litter of two beautiful dilute calico kittens who were adopted before she was. We already had one cat who was shy and easily intimidated, so we were looking to adopt a friendly second to cat who would get along with him. Mochi was described as loving everyone, including people and other cats. The rescue organization allowed us to foster to adopt Mochi to make sure it was a good fit. And it absolutely was! We fell in love with her loving, quirky, playful personality. After a gradual introduction, it was clear that Mochi and our other cat would be friends, and we finalized the adoption. Mochi is friendly to everyone and nearly fearless. She greets us at the door for head butts and pets when we come home. She loves to play - in this photo, she was playing with a measuring tape. She questions our grooming practices and has tried to rescue several family members from the shower and bathtub. Above all, Mochi is a champion snuggler and just loves being with people. We are so glad we took a chance and got to know her because now we can’t imagine our family without her!
